Looking to drum up some extra cash quickly and easily to help pay for a remodeling project? Tap your home for hidden sources of income:

• If your basement or garage is full of unwanted or unused items, hold a garage sale or sell them online at an auction site like eBay®. Exercise equipment, sporting goods, musical instruments, electronics, video cameras, computers, and tools can all bring in extra bucks.
• Round up old CDs, DVDs, books, and video games, and trade them in or sell them for cash at your local media exchange store or online. Some sites will pay up to $5 for hot titles.
