They’re popping up everywhere! We know why, too: they’re offered now in more and more scents that are sure to please the most finicky of noses in your home.
But not all diffusers are created equal. Look for scents that are high in oil (added alcohol evaporates too quickly). There are a variety of aromas out there—and it’s a known fact, now, that certain scents can be therapeutic. Some scents will help you sleep better; some may energize you—shop for different effects and place them wherever you need a lift or some relaxation.
Choosing diffusers to “dress” the air in your home has many other pluses. Diffusers cut the risk of fire, so you can have your scent and safety, too. No more worrying about whether or not you blew the candles out before toddling off for the evening…the reeds keep doing their job, wicking out breathtaking aroma around the clock. Here’s a tip for a quick refresher: take the reeds out of the jar, turn them upside down, and reinsert them; turning them once a week will help keep the aroma more constant.
Did you know that certain candles can deposit soot and films on your walls and furniture? If you happen to have an ionic air cleaner, you already know how much more often you have to clean them when you burn candles. Diffusers leave no film…they’re just plain cleaner, and that translates into better, more breathable air. Which makes them beautiful—and smart.
