Grandma’s Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin Pie is right up there with turkey in the tradition of Thanksgiving.  After everyone is full with the festive meal, it is a wonder that there is any appetite left for this delicacy, but there always seems to be a demand.  This recipe is one of my favourites.  It has been baked in our family through generations and definitely has the flavor to remind us to be grateful.

Preparation Time: 30 min

Cook Time: 45 + minutes

Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Number of Servings: 8

9″ unbaked pie shell
2 eggs, lightly beaten

1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp salt
¼ cup molasses
1 ¼ cups pumpkin (I usually use canned pumpkin)
¾ cup milk
½ cup light cream
2 tbsp melted butter
