As I’ve mentioned before, I decorated a lot of Christmas trees this year. I have shared my blush pink, white and black tree in my upstairs office, as well as the red and white trees in my living room. Today, I’ll be sharing the blue Christmas tree decorations in my den.
Every year, I decorate at least one Christmas tree in blue.
Since most of my house has blue in it somewhere, it’s the one color that goes in every room.
So when I saw a blue Christmas tree (like this one*), I knew I had to have it.
It also happens to be a pencil tree, which is perfect for my house. Because it’s so small, it will fit pretty much anywhere. So I decided to put it in my downstairs office.

I decided to use a blue and white with a touch of gold color scheme for the ornaments.
Many of them came from a blue and white ornament set (similar to this one*) that I bought last year.
It’s a bit of a splurge, but the ornaments are so pretty!
Using long ornaments as well as round ones helps to make the tree look more interesting.
As do all the different patterns.
Hanging a white bead garland around the tree adds a horizontal element to break up all the vertical ones.
The blue tree provides a beautiful background that really makes the ornaments stand out.
With the lights on the tree has a beautiful blue glow.
These blue and white ginger jar Christmas ornaments* are my absolute favorite!
That shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who knows me and my ginger jar collection 🙂
The tree topper
For the tree-topper, I used blue poinsettia picks (similar to these ones*).
Grouping three of them together at the top of the tree makes the topper look good from all sides.
And makes it look a little more substantial than having only one would.
The best thing is that tree is small enough to fit in the space of a side table.
Which is perfect for my small den.
Shop The Tree
Since Christmas ornament designs change every year, some of the ones I used are not available anymore. In those cases, I have tried to find similar options that will work.
