Gardenia is a small to medium-sized evergreen shrub with beautiful fragrant white flowers that bloom in late spring or early summer.

It thrives on hot and humid weather, so it’s perfect for my South Carolina summers.

And I love the fragrance of Gardenias.

Which is why I have 2 of them growing in my garden–one by the front door, and one right beside the back patio.

That way anytime I leave the house, I walk right by them and can’t help but smell their perfume.
