Sedum ‘Autumn Joy’ is an easy-to-grow perennial succulent that stores water in its leaves, making it a good plant to grow in dry conditions.
It prefers dry, poorly-fertilized soil which makes it perfect for growing in rock gardens, or in clay or sandy soil.
The flowers start out pink and turn to bronze as the weather gets cooler.
Since it is one of the last flowers to bloom before winter, it’s a great late-season nectar source for butterflies and bees.
It is also deer and rabbit resistant.
