There’s something so summery about berries and Margaritas.

Which is why I love to mix the two together in this mixed berries frozen Margaritas recipe.

They’re easy to make in a blender and you can even make them ahead of time.

Which makes them perfect for a Cinco de Mayo party or 4th of July cookout. Or pretty much any other get-together.

Here’s your shopping list:

  • Ice cubes – If you’re only making a few of these, ice cubes from your freezer should be enough. But for a party, you’ll probably need to buy a bag of ice.
  • Frozen mixed berries – Fresh berries don’t work as well for frozen margaritas since they can make the drink too watery.
  • Tequila – For the best tasting Margaritas, buy a good quality silver Tequila.
  • Orange liqueur – I like to use Triple Sec but Cointreau or Grand Marnier will also work.
  • Margarita mix – For a drink with less calories, use a skinny version.

How to make frozen margaritas ahead of time

If you’re hosting a party and don’t want to be blending margaritas all night, you can make them a day or two ahead of time.

But you’ll need some extra freezer space to store them.

Mix up multiple batches of the mixed berry margaritas and add them to one (or more) freezer-safe containers. If you have a large blender, you can double or triple the recipe to make more at one time.

Put the lid on the containers and store them in the freezer until serving time. The alcohol will prevent it from freezing solid. And the ice won’t melt and dilute your margaritas.

When you’re ready to serve them, simply transfer the pre-mixed Margaritas to a pitcher.
