In the summer, I like to cook on the grill as much as possible. Everything tastes so much better (and there’s fewer pots to wash!) This Basil Grilled Chicken Breast recipe is really easy to make and has lots of flavor.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Marinating Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 12 to 15 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes
Makes 6 servings
What You Need
Note: If you really don’t feel like cooking, you can replace everything up to the pepper with 3/4 cup of pre-made balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing and then just add the basil.
3 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped or 2 Tablespoons dried basil
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Pots and Utensils
How To Put It Together
1. Mix all of the ingredients except the chicken breasts in the large bowl. (You can also do this in a large ziploc bag if you prefer).
2. Add the chicken to the mixture and turn to coat.
3. Cover and let the chicken marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes.
4. Grill over medium-high flame for about 6 minutes per side, or until the chicken is no longer pink inside.
Note: You can also cook these in the oven. Bake them on a cookie sheet at 375º F for about 30 minutes.
