Columbines are a native plant in North America that are quite easy to grow.
They have dainty cup-shaped flowers which come in many different colors and bloom above lacy foliage that looks pretty all season long.
They do tend to self-seed (although not too aggressively) so you may find them growing up in places where you didn’t expect them.
But I like them so much I usually just let them grow where they want to!
