Instructions
Begin by positioning the tree skirt around the base of the tree before adding any ornaments.
Start by placing the large ornaments on the tree. Make sure they are evenly distributed around the tree for a balanced look.
Fill in the gaps on the tree with small ornaments, ensuring they are evenly distributed around the tree.
Add long finial ornaments to the tree to create a vertical element and contrast with the round ornaments.
Make and hang additional DIY black and white ornaments, including polka dot ornaments, striped ornaments with gold hearts, and large letter ornaments.
Add small black bows to the ends of some branches to incorporate a softer texture.
Center the narrower white velvet ribbon down the middle of the wider black one to create a striped ribbon. Staple them together every 6 inches.
Create a large bow using the layered ribbon for the tree topper. Allow the long tails of the ribbon to fall down the sides of the tree.
Notes
You can also use the DIY letter ornaments to create a Christmas banner like the Merry Xmas one I hung behind my tree.
